The SUV market is getting bigger and bigger and new models are selling like hot cakes that even the big guns don’t want to miss their share. Would anyone believe if you told them that Lamborghini would be making SUVs? Definitely not, as it is a major shift from their tradition of building some of the finest sports car ever built. But when all other brands like Porsche, Bentley and Maserati have entered the market, you are sometimes forced to do something out of the ordinary. Who knows may be even Ferrari may release an SUV version soon.
And it took six year to unleash its first ever SUV after releasing the stunning concept of the Urus SUV. And they are in with a bang as the Lamborghini is on the World’s fastest SUV that can reach an astonishing 0-100kmph in just 3.6 seconds and with a top speed of 305kmph, it can reach 0-200mph in just 12.8 seconds. According to the company, the Urus has created a new segment with its Super Sports utility vehicle (Super SUV). It just blows anyone behind the wheels with its incredible speed and you could say all kinds of laws of physics has been broken as no one could imagine that a vehicle of this size and a weight of around 2200 kg(curb weight) can ever reach this kind of speed.
Even though it is not quite an eye-catching spectacle like the Aventador, it still comes with a stunning design with sloping roofline that closes down sharply towards the end, angular lines along with the striking Y-shaped day time running lights.
On the outlook, the sloping roofline looks like it compromising the room in the backseat, but it is extremely spacious that even six footers can sit in the back seat quite comfortably. And the drivers set comes with a sporty design and provides a snug fit and unlike its sports car versions, the seats offer more cushion especially for the front seat passengers. Seems that the infotainment has been picked up from the Audi-8 as it resembles the same 3-screen design. The brilliant and colorful glow with the instrument panel is very much of a Lambo design along with the Carbon fiber and alcantara mix of a dashboard.
With the Urus, Lamborghini has created a new benchmark in the luxury SUV market and even though it is quite expensive, it does live up to its expectations and may be even exceed them for the few of the lucky guys who could own them. It can be certainly used for their daily rides to the office, weekend camping trips or long distance travel.
