The Hajime restaurant is one among the few with 3-Michelin Star restaurants in Japan. Located in the ever busy city of Osaka, the Hajime restaurant is a high quality French restaurant that offers exclusive French cuisine at an elegant atmosphere. There is a small waiting room at the entrance leading to the grand dining hall that sports a gold fabric on the wall beautifully lit from below. The floors are filled with grey slate tiles and the tables are widely spread with plenty of space in between and the tables draped with simple but yet attractive white linen that complements the surroundings. Chef Hajime Yoneda spent most of his years in France and has been ably trained by the celebrated French Chef Michael Bras.

Born in 1972 in Osaka, Chef Hajime Yoneda spent most of his early years in his beautiful mountain town. Since his young age he was deeply impressed by mathematics and studied electrical engineering in College. In 1996, he was employed with an electronics company to design electronic products. But his passion for cooking turned him to learn cooking and he started working in restaurants in and around Japan. But the most defining moment came when he started to work with one of the most celebrated chefs in the world, Michael Bras.
In 2008, he opened his own French restaurant in Osaka named as Hajime RESTAURANT GASTRONOMIQUE OSAKA JAPON and within a couple of years it received 3 Michelin Stars. In 2012, he renamed the restaurant into simple HAJIME and continue to impress his critics and guests in his restaurant with his exclusive French dishes with a Japanese touch. He has earned a lot of accolades for his exceptional talent and for his admiration to nature that is reflected in every dish he creates. Some dishes are named like “Chikyu” meaning earth and it is designed in such a way to represent the cycle of life.
