Gaggan Anand- master of progressive Indian cuisine.
Serving the world with its inquisitive taste and lip smacking cuisines, Gaggan Anand, the owner and terrific chef of Gaggan restaurant, has got something magical in his hands. The journey from his struggle fileld life to that of achieving his passion seems quite interesting. He, as a young individual was never much interested into studies and academics. Leaving this part of life aside, he was completely inclined towards cooking dm music which somewhere made him understand what he actually ants in life and doing what would make him happy eventually.
Gaggan then announced his aspiration and it was nothing else but to be a chef. And just as it was supposed to be, he had to face a lot of criticism and mocking this idea was definitely something different from what people conceive it as. However, he went on with his decision and chose his passion as a career option. As he stuck to his plans, he further went to Bangkok in the year 2007, where he was supposed to get through a short consultancy. The consultancy went over and ended, however, his desires seemed to take shape within this place. Gaggan then stayed right at Bangkok!
He further initiated this idea and his dream of being a cook along with opening a restaurant. One fine drunken evening with his friends, helped him to gather the courage and express out all his feelings. Finally as they understood the idea and considered it successful, the friends have now turned into partners and have brought this incredible restaurant on grounds.
