His signature cuisine the Gastro-Botanica comes with an excellent combination of protein and botanical elements. Chef Jason is known to source his ingredients from some of the best places in Singapore as he always looks for organic fruits and vegetables added to his dishes. One can also find all kinds of botanicals in his signature dish right from roots, fungi, tubers and vines etc. and one the key features of Gastro-Botanica is that every element in the dish is presented with finer detail and the needed garnishing to highlight the dish in its own self.
Corner House is also renowned for featuring a wine list of around 6000 labels and also considered to be holding the largest collection of half-bottle formats in Singapore. For wine lovers, you can always linger in the taste of the rare large bottle formats. And what more, the diners can even buy their favorite wine labels for large events and special occasions at the quasi retail store. Along with the attractive wine list, the diners can also choose from the finest selection of spirits including Cognacs, Grappas and Single Malts.
Chef Jason Tan is known to be a seeker and loves to innovate new culinary delights. Having started his career from the Les Amis restaurant, he has served in Le Saint Julien Restaurant, Robuchon a Galera and also in Hotel Lisboa in Macau, China and also Sky on 57. He also served as the Chef de Cuisine in the Julien Bompard at Ascott Raffles Place.
Even though the road was not much easy for the co-owner and the chef patron Jason Tan to earn the Michelin Star for his own restaurant. As a young chef, he always dreamt about the interesting cuisines be legends of the culinary industry like Alain Passard and Joel Robuchon. And it is passion and the hunger in him which took him to the place where he is now. Jason also loves to travel around the world to learn more about the flavors of international cuisines and likes to mix it with his own techniques to create a unique cuisine.
