Japan is famous for producing some the best beef in the world and hence people take substantial efforts in preparing in rearing Wagyu, the Japanese term for beef. And when it comes to eating the best beef in Kobe, you cannot miss out the Aragawa. Founded in 1956, the beef restaurant is located in a serene environment in a quiet location. Founded by Chef Jiro Yamada, the restaurant soon became popular for its exclusive beef dishes in a city that is popular for its beef culture. It is currently being run by his son Mitsuye Yamada.

One of the specialties in Aragawa is the Sirloin dish that is made using Sanda Beef, one of the most expensive and famous beef in Kobe. Compared to all the 3000 cattle reared in Kobe, Sanda beef rearing is tiny with only 1000 cattle’s and hence it is considered to be rare and expensive. Certainly not known for its décor, the Aragawa comes with a dining hall that looks like a steak house and certainly you need to carry a heavy wallet if you want to dine at the Aragawa as the prices are quite expensive when compared to other beef restaurants in the city.

The Kobe beef is considered to some of the best beefs in the world as the process of rearing these cattle’s involves a meticulous process right from providing periodic messages to feeding the right kind of sake and maintaining everything properly. These cattle’s are known to be provided royal treatment by their owners considering the kind of rarity and the rate at which they could be sold.
